The sticker is the smallest part of the story. For JetBrains AI, these are the line items that quietly inflate the bill:
- Monthly credit quota resets 30 days from first use (not calendar month) and does not roll over — unused credits are lost
- Same plan name has two list prices (e.g., Pro $10 vs $20) depending on personal vs commercial/organization licensing and IDE
- Junie agent and AI Chat consume credits far faster than simple completions, so Free (3 credits) and even Pro (10 credits) can be exhausted in a single day of agentic work, forcing $1/credit top-up purchases
